The Books

Two traders can both make $3,000 in a month, and only one of them keeps it. This stage is how you tell which one you are. You'll read your month like a business does: what came in, every cost and bill, and what's left. Then you'll check your year against the same money left in an index fund. Eleven lessons, and every one of them ends on a number you can check.

Stage 75 of the TradeWize trading-as-a-business track: you'll read your trading month the way a business does, from gross through every cost and bill to what you actually kept.

What you’ll leave with11 lessons · 5-line playbook
  • I read my month net of every cost, because gross is not what I keep.
  • I know what my month costs before I place a trade, and how many trades it takes to cover it.
  • A deposit is not a profit, and I measure my return without it.
  • I compare my year with the same money left in an index fund, and I count the difference as my real result.
  • Most trading accounts lose money after costs, and I check my own statement against that before I believe I am different.
