Tax, Records and Rules

A closed trade turns into a tax question, and most systems ask it in much the same way. You'll learn how gains and losses are counted, why one sale can show three different gains, and why part of every good month isn't yours. You'll keep records a stranger could follow, and you'll know the rules every trader works under. This is education, not tax advice.

Stage 76 of the TradeWize trading-as-a-business track: you'll learn the tax mechanics most systems share, keep records a stranger could follow, and know the rules every trader works under.

  • A profit counts for tax when the trade is closed in most systems, and I know which system I am in.
  • A realised loss offsets a realised gain, and I know my net position before the tax year ends.
  • Part of every profitable month is not mine, and it goes to the tax pot the day I close the month.
  • My records let a stranger rebuild my year without asking me a question.
  • I do not trade on inside information, move a price on purpose, or handle other people's money without the licence for it.
