The Bad Months

Every record has losing months in it. This stage is how you run the business through them. You'll count how many losing months your own trades should give you, score a month by the rules you kept, and decide what can change and what can't. Then you'll write down the line where you'd stop, before you need it.

Stage 78 of the TradeWize trading-as-a-business track: you'll count how many red months are normal, judge a month by the rules you kept, and write down the line where you'd stop.

  • A good strategy has red months, and I know how many mine should have before the year starts.
  • I judge a month by how many trades followed my rules, before I look at what it made.
  • In a bad month my pay and my costs can change, and my rules cannot.
  • I wrote down the runway at which I stop trading and review, and I wrote it before I needed it.
  • I review the month on a fixed day, from the record, and I change one thing at most.
