The Good Months

A great month feels like a raise, and it isn't one. This stage is how you handle the good months without wrecking the business. You'll plan off your average, raise your size one step at a time, and let your pay follow many months, not one. Then you'll test the full-time question on your own books, line by line.

Stage 79 of the TradeWize trading-as-a-business track: you'll treat a great month as one month, raise your size one step at a time, and test the full-time question on your own books.

What you’ll leave with11 lessons · 7-line playbook
  • One great month is one month, and I plan the next one off my average.
  • I raise my size one step at a time, after the trades and the new high my rule asks for, and never after one month.
  • I set targets for what I do, not for what the month pays.
  • My pay follows my average over many months, and a pay rise raises the return I need.
  • After a great year I change one thing at a time, and I prove it small before I size it.
  • I go full-time when all five lines pass on my own books, and not on a feeling.
  • Going back to a job is a line in my plan, and I wrote the conditions for it before I left.
