What to keep in the screenshot
- Leave the window title in the shot — "EURUSD,H1" is the pair and the timeframe in one string.
- Keep the price scale on the right. On a pair it's the check that you and the feed are quoting the same thing.
- One chart window. MetaTrader tiles four by default, and a four-pane shot gets refused because there's no way to tell which one you meant.
- Dark template or light, it reads the same. The colour scheme changes nothing.
- An Expert Advisor panel in the corner is harmless. Chad reads price, not the panel.
Questions
Does it read MT4 and MT5, or only one of them?
Both. The two write the pair and the period the same way in the window title, so the read is identical. A screenshot from a broker's own white-label build of either one works too.
Can it read a gold or an index CFD from my MetaTrader terminal?
Usually. XAUUSD maps to gold and the major index CFDs map to their futures. If your broker's symbol is one nothing prices — a house-branded synthetic, say — it reads the picture itself rather than refusing you.
Does it install anything on my terminal, or need my broker login?
No. There's no expert advisor, no script and no broker connection at any point. You upload a picture of your screen, and that's the whole flow.
Are the distances quoted in pips?
Yes. On a currency pair every distance is quoted in pips, so a stop reads as "51 pips" and never as "0.00510". A JPY cross is priced to three decimals rather than five.
